Apex’s GE course offers a contemporary style of English Language Teaching using effective teaching methods and quality textbook and resources. The General English curriculum and assessments have been designed to provide learners with the English language skills necessary for their personal, study, business, and employment purposes.

Learners will be tested on arrival so that they can be placed in a class suitable for their English proficiency level. During the course the following assessment methods are used, including:
Students receive continuous feedback from their teachers about their progress and regular written reports.

Tuition Fee: $290 per week*
Enrolment Fee: $250 **
Resources Fee: $50 (charged for enrolments less than 10 weeks)
Each GE level book costs approximately AUD $85
Students must purchase a copy of the coursebook, Cutting Edge, for their level.
After completion of the placement test, students will be informed of their level.

Students must be at least eighteen (18) years old. There are no other specific entry requirements.
Assessments are conducted during training sessions and on completion of training for each unit to determine if the learner is competent. The assessments are conducted using knowledge and skills assessments. Assessment methods may include: Assignment, Questioning (Oral/Written), Case Study, Third Party Report, In Class Activities, Observations, Role Play and RPL.
Apex will recognise the AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTO’s, upon verification with the issuing organisation. RPL and Credit Transfer are available for students to access prior to enrolment. More information is available in our student handbook.
All trainers and assessors hold vocational and training and assessment competencies at the level they teach or assess or higher, and have current and relevant industry skills.
